My client, an artist and stay-at-home mom, came to me in a fit of depression. Although she loved how she spent her days, she was unhappy and wasn’t sure why.
It was clear that she needed to improve her self-confidence, which we did by exploring herself as a spiritual being through ceremony and ritual. She identified how she wanted to show up in her community and began to take her art seriously. She connected with other artists and moms, and began to find community doing what she loved. Finally, she identified and conquered her fears about following her dreams and allowed herself to be fully supported by her husband.
This process led to clarity around what she really wanted, including where she really wanted to live. As she gained strength and confidence, she began to explore how she might move her family to a warmer climate. As our coaching relationship closed, she and her family were in the process of moving south to begin a new life in the community of their dreams.
